A little bit about us…..

With roots extending over 150 years, Kingsley Tresidder Funeral Service has a rich history rooted in tradition and a strong commitment to community. Kingsley Tresidder began assisting his father, Len, in the mid-1970s, officially joining the family business in 1981. Five years later, in 1986, Kingsley and his wife Sandra took over, continuing to build on the values of compassion, respect and dignity that have always defined our approach.

In the early 2010s, Kingsley and Sandra were joined by their daughter, Julie, and son, Steven, marking the beginning of a third generation in the family business. Both Julie and Steven share the same values and commitment to providing the unique, friendly and personal service for which the business is renowned.

Although we remain based in Ponsanooth, our reach has expanded to serve a wider area, including Stithians, Perranwell Station, Carnon Downs, Lanner, Penryn, Falmouth and surrounding communities.

In November 2022, we lost our beloved husband and father, Kingsley. His passing has marked a deeply poignant new chapter for us. Today, Sandra, Julie, and Steven continue to carry forward his legacy, remaining devoted to the values he instilled in the business.

As proud members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, we are committed to upholding the association’s code of conduct and core values. Julie, who holds their Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration, recently earned her Diploma in Funeral Directing, the same qualification held by her father. She was the first in Cornwall to obtain the new Higher Diploma in Funeral Directing introduced by the NAFD in 2022.
